It has been over 2 years since this project was initially launched publically. It is amazing to see how it has grown in both features, and users. I am only one person, and so things often take a while and I may not think of everything that can be added. Feedback is greatly appreciated and I try my best to address suggestions and incoporate them into the website.

The journey has been incredible and I am eager to continue making improvements and adding new features. Speaking of journeys, progress on the Journey Planner has been a bit slow and I regret to say that it will be stuck in beta for a while as I figure out how to further progress with it and make improvements.

Version 1.5.9 should hopefully be arriving in the next few days, in which it will add a few minor improvements. Following this, I have plans for version 1.6.0. One of the main new features will be a page to browse vehicles by type - for example, seeing all Scania Hybrid buses. In addition to this, following a very good suggestion from a user, will be an extension of the email notification system. At the moment, you can subscribe to receive email notifications when a vehicle re-enters service after a few days of inactivity. Under the new planned system, you will be able to receive notifications for any vehicle of a subscribed 'type' whenever one enters service.

I wanted to post an update regarding progress and plans, as I feel it is important for everyone to have an understanding of the directions I plan for the website to head in. I will try to continue to be as transparent going forward, posting more about progress. I cannot put a timeframe or date on the release of v1.6.0, but will try my best to get good progress in.
